About

First Concert: My first show with my Mom was Prince, 1984. Without Mom, Beastie Boys, 1986. Worst Concert: Hate to say this but…Beastie Boys, 1986. I was 14, they were drunk, they threw beer all over the crowd, played for 45 minutes, and left. I was pissed. Best Concert: Top 5 concerts would have made this question a lot easier. But BEST? The Raconteurs at the Belly Up Aspen, with 250 of my closest friends. Top Tune: No way. I should be loyal and say a Seattle band but…shit…Zeppelin. “Fool in the Rain.” On the Bucket List: Foo Fighters My background? This bit is hard, as I’m more of an artist then a writer, so to ask me to write about myself in proper English is difficult. Here’s the Cliff Notes, edited by our Marketing Director: Karrie’s a Seattle girl. Her early 20s were spent navigating the early ‘90s in Seattle. The music scene really doesn’t get any better then that. She saw everyone from Nirvana to The Melvins. [She saw Eddie Vedder play – Karrie add something here about a great Pearl Jam experience]. She went to College at Western Wa University, majoring in graphic design and photography. Life after college involved travel, travel, travel. She spent four years wondering around the world, from Calcutta to Paris. She moved to Aspen in 1999, where she currently lives with her husband and two rambunctious boys. She’s a graphic designer who has held various titles at the Aspen Daily News, Aspen Magazine, and Kissane Viola Design. “I have music playing all day long, whether I’m working, cooking, cleaning, bathing my kids, eating, and even sleeping.”
